Love at Ten

Michael's Lair

Let me find that gentle smile
That makes me feel juvenile
Stuttering my feelings I blush
Everyone believes it’s a crush

I’ve loved you since I turned ten
God only knows why it was then
Your eyes, your smile and velvet cheeks
Those were the things I did peek

Ten years later I feel the same
My regret is I’m filled with shame
Not being a Prince, a different caste
Poured as a mold into a class

I had to let her go that day
Her dowry was given away
She married the Prince and he died
Then flashed an evil look in her eyes

She got up and ran away clean
Not leaving a visible crime scene
She followed my trail to me here
Then said it would be alright dear

My feelings were stressed for ten years
Standing together never so near
Now she’s ready I’m feeling juvenile

Topic: View from the moon
Topic given by johndennis86

Small
Circular ball surrounded by darkness
Small sparks and rays if yellow
Lights up
Half of the green, blue and partial Brown

Space
All you see is space
And this small fragment
That would look dead
If it weren’t for the sun
Uninhabitable for an untrained eye
Who only see the shadows
Dividing the globe

From the moon
Humans do not excist
We are too small in the big picture
Even though we act like we rule it
No one can see us
The moon would not shed a tear
Or thought

From the moon
We see a source of life
And nothing that resemble ourselves

Topic: concrete wall
Topic given by Christian Teisnes

Modern consumption
A century gave birth
To those who threw the first stone
In the beginning
we crushed the stones to dust
Small fragments
That seemed to be worthless

But every fragment
carried history within them
A history built by the forces of the good and evil

While some of us
tried to craft the beauty that lied in every grain, to form a connection
Others used only the bigger pictures
To connect and divide us by a wall
We saved a lot of grains from demolition
We kept some beauty that we still share
But the great concrete walls
Try to cast shadows over what we are

Split, divide and conquer
Carries every lost grain
The brushed surface holds no recognition of it
So we become more and more connected to the wall
Beauty and warmth
Serves more…
